Join us at NUMA on 0 – CONNECT for a presentation of concepts developed during a weeklong workshop at Parsons Paris and NUMA on the topic of Interaction Futures in 2020-2025: Imagining the Metaverse.

A cohort of MFA Design and Technology candidates from the New York Parsons campus traveled to Paris to work with workshop mentors Lorenz Bohrer from Advanced Interaction Design, Audi AG, Benjamin Gaulon, program director at Parsons Paris, and David Carroll, associate professor at Parsons New York.

During a weeklong workshop, graduate student teams developed speculative concepts around notions of the Metaverse, a term describing what the Internet and its related cultures and technologies will evolve into over the next 10-15 years. Within this conceptual framework the teams developed initial proposals for projects interrogating the notion of a Spectrum of Involvement within the contexts of A Spiritual AwakeningDigital PathologiesDimensions of Presence in a Mixed Reality, and a Wearable Sensorial Diary.

Presentation will be conducted in English.
